Australians require a visa to travel to Chile

Apply for your e-visa no less than 3-months before your travel date (applications will not be accepted within 65 days of departure).

You must have a valid passport with at least 6-months validity remaining from your expected date of travel, and have at least one blank visa page.

You are required to have travel insurance as part of your contract with ChilEscape Tours. Travel insurance is essential for unexpected events or medical costs.

• Warm clothing (i.e., thermals)
• Warm outwear (i.e., snow jacket)
• Walking/ hike suitable footwear (i.e., sneakers, hiking boots {preferred for safety})

• Minimal English in local businesses (other than tour guides) 

• The South of Chile is quite safe, however, when travelling somewhere new it is always advised to keep your valuables close and secured (i.e., travel money belt)
